Day 29 – Your Favorite Theme Attraction

I try to visit Disneyland/CA Adventure at least once a year if I can. No visit is complete without going on Radiator Springs Racers in Cars Land, whether it’s by myself or with friends.

This post is part of The 30 Day Disney Challenge. Find out more about it here.

Confessions of a (Former) M.A.C.-aholic

This post had been brewing for quite some time. I was finally able to pull it together after semi-purging some beauty items last weekend. I gave my collection a photo shoot last Monday, and I can now present it to you. When introduced to M.A.C. during the time I was in college, I became one among many fans of the brand and tried to stay informed of any new products they had. When I had a steady part time job, I purchased items at least once a month. Then I became interested in certain collections and had to get at least 1 thing from them. Sure enough, everything started adding up, and I had to slow myself down. I didn’t really need all of these products, and sadly, I haven’t used most of them in years. I wanted to document what remains of my collection before I continue with my cosmetics purge (some items had already been disposed of or given away prior to this post). Pardon the overload of photos!

That oughtta be enough M.A.C. eye candy for you! Following this post’s publishing, some of this collection will either be trashed, salvaged, and/or used. I’m also considering emptying out some of them to use for Back to M.A.C. I can’t believe I don’t own a single blush from this brand, and I actually have an unused lipstick. I’m interested to see your brand hauls, so feel free to link me to them in the comments.

ipsy September Glam Bag – Face Fashion

This month’s bag featured products that would make a great transition to Fall.

What’s in my bag?

City Color Cosmetics City Chic in One Night Stand – This shade is a medium bright pink, which is sorta out of my comfort zone when it comes to lip products. Sure enough, it was exactly that when I put it on. I managed to tone down the color a bit by adding a layer of dark berry gloss over it. The formula isn’t drying and lasts quite a while.

Eau Thermale Avene Soothing Moisture Mask – I wasn’t expecting too much from this mask. It felt like a thick moisturizer going on. After a few minutes, it’s removed with a cotton pad, per the directions. I just hopped in the shower instead. It left my face smooth.

NYX Cosmetics ipsy Eye Shadow Trio – NYX has yet to stir me wrong with their products. This mini palette of neutral shadows is great to use any time of the day. I used the lightest shade all over the lid, followed by he middle in the crease, then lined my upper lash line with the black.

Temptu S/B Highlighter in Champagne Shimmer – I almost thought I was getting a dupe from a past bag, but noticed it was a different shade and in a larger container. I dabbed a little above my cheeks and in the center of my nose. Not bad!

Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in Elegantly Wasted – I was surprised to receive this because I had thought I didn’t request nail polish to be in my bags anymore. Regardless of that, I actually don’t mind the shade.

Coverage after 1 coat.
From top to bottom: City Color lipstick in One Night Stand, NYX ipsy shadow trio, Temptu S/B Highlighter in Champagne Shimmer. Left side – Natural light. Right side – Room light.

4 out of 5 items get a thumbs up! I’ve re-taken their product quiz once again to see if I’ll be receiving anything different in future bags.
