Confessions of a (Former) M.A.C.-aholic

This post had been brewing for quite some time. I was finally able to pull it together after semi-purging some beauty items last weekend. I gave my collection a photo shoot last Monday, and I can now present it to you. When introduced to M.A.C. during the time I was in college, I became one among many fans of the brand and tried to stay informed of any new products they had. When I had a steady part time job, I purchased items at least once a month. Then I became interested in certain collections and had to get at least 1 thing from them. Sure enough, everything started adding up, and I had to slow myself down. I didn’t really need all of these products, and sadly, I haven’t used most of them in years. I wanted to document what remains of my collection before I continue with my cosmetics purge (some items had already been disposed of or given away prior to this post). Pardon the overload of photos!

That oughtta be enough M.A.C. eye candy for you! Following this post’s publishing, some of this collection will either be trashed, salvaged, and/or used. I’m also considering emptying out some of them to use for Back to M.A.C. I can’t believe I don’t own a single blush from this brand, and I actually have an unused lipstick. I’m interested to see your brand hauls, so feel free to link me to them in the comments.

That’s such an impressive collection! I’m super jealous! In Australia MAC is super expensive- the lipsticks are $40, so I don’t think I’ll be getting any mac products anytime in the future 😦

Thank you. Wow, that’s an insane price for just a lipstick. Sorry they’re not lower like they are here.

Ikr! And I only recently found out that they were way cheaper in America, so i thought thought the beauty bloggers I follow were all spending that much on makeup!

Thank you! I can imagine that the total for all these items adds up to a couple hundred bucks for sure. 😛

    You go, girl!
Keep up the purging – KEEP ONLY THE GOOD STUFF (good quality, what you like, what looks best).

Haha, your MAC journey sounds a lot like mine! I always had to get just ONE item from each LE collection… but it was rare that I’d really walk away with just 1. I have a bunch of Hello Kitty and Fafi stuff too, haha… mostly unused and kept the packaging just for sentimental reasons.
Love looking at all the eye shadows! Wow, you have so many blues / greens – I hardly ever bought those shades because I just knew I’d never use them. I do covet your Mink & Sable and Illegal Cargo eye shadows!
Good for you to re-home them to someone else who may make better use of them! Are you going to do a post on what you purged?

I had a thing for blues at one point, hence all the shadows. Now I can’t get myself to do a look with them. I’m still in the process, but I just might do a post on my purge later on.
